Carlo Raillo, Owner and Chef Executive of Italia Mia, was born in 1980 in Naples, Italy. Carlo has been working in the restaurant industry for more than 25 years as a Pizzaiolo and Chef. Before immigrating to Canada in 2011, Carlo and his father owned a pizzeria-restaurant in the town of Tortora, Calabria, Italy. Over the past ten years, Carlo has worked for various Italian restaurants in Edmonton with great motivation. In the past years he has been a Master Pizzaiolo of the school of Pizza-Chef in Toronto where he overseen the sales and training of equipment for pizza restaurants of Italiana.ca across North America. From 2014 to 2017 he was awarded for the Best Pizza Chef in Canada, a competition that takes place in Toronto every year. In 2017, Carlo won the Canadian Pizza Show, where he presented a tasty gluten-free vegetarian pizza with richly coloured vegetables. Carlo is now excited to open a Pizzeria-Trattoria and to offer his clients a perfect, Italian dining experience.
Italia Mia is proud to offer you a vast menu that will include a Neapolitan style of pizza and it will also include gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian pizza. Furthermore, Italia Mia offers you a variety of antipasti (appetizers) , followed by primi piatti (pasta) and secondi (entrees).
